New Bin-Picking Case: Gripping of Heavy Steering Knuckles

SCAPE 3D Object Recognition is the new feature in the SCAPE Bin-Picking Software, which provides significant new application possibilities.

Previously, the SCAPE recognition algorithm in the SCAPE Software was limited to recognizing product items and 3D environments in predefined locations, such as a container and recognition of product items at a handling station. The new feature enables a recognition of all 3D data within the scanner's field of view.

This makes a multitude of different applications possible with SCAPE:
- Recognition of fixtures before placing parts
- Recognition of features or details on large parts
- Checking the presence of a fixture or part in a given location
...and much more!
