Its Cemetery and Mortuary segment operates eleven mortuaries and five cemeteries in Utah; one cemetery in California; and four mortuaries and one cemetery in New Mexico. This segment also offers plots, interment vaults, mausoleum crypts, markers, caskets, urns, and other death care related products; and provides professional services of funeral directors, opening and closing of graves, use of chapels and viewing rooms, and use of automobiles and clothing. The company's Mortgages segment originates and underwrites residential and commercial loans for new construction, existing homes, and real estate projects primarily in Florida, Nevada, Texas, and Utah. It offers residential mortgage lending services to real estate brokers and builders, as well as directly with consumers. Security National Financial Corporation was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This month's SNFC Woman in Leadership is Diana Olson, Vice President/Controller of Security National Life! It has been an honor to watch Diana's career grow within Security National. Thank you Diana! "I started my career at Security National Life a few years ago while I was still in high school. I am currently the Vice President/Controller of the life companies. Who would have thought that a part time job while in high school would turn into a lifetime career. I love the company and the people I work with and I am grateful I am a part of the Security National family and made Security National Life my lifetime career. I had the pleasure of knowing the founders of the company, George R. Quist and William C.Sargent. My husband and I have been married for 35 years and have 2 sons, one daughter-in-law, 2 granddaughters and one spoiled miniature schnauzer. We’ll be adding a new grandson in June. I love spending time with our family. I especially love the outdoors and enjoy weekends in the mountains at the family cabin. My favorite thing is seeing all of the wildlife up there. I love traveling, doing crafts(especially scrapbooking/paper crafting), I love sharing the paper crafting treats I make with my co-workers, having game nights and of course puzzles. I’ve even surprised my family by bottling fruit in the fall and making candy at Christmas time. My son was shocked that I even knew how. Fun fact, in 2021 my husband and I were in charge of making a float for the Days of 47 parade in Salt Lake City. We won the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers award. I can check float builder off my bucket list".
