👋 Today is the International Day of Education! This day, proclaimed by the United Nations s in 2018, is aimed at celebrating the role of education in peace and development. 👨‍🏫👩‍🏫 Currently, 250 million children and youth are out of school, and 763 million adults are illiterate.

To mark this day, Mécénat Servier reaffirms its commitments to education. From the outset, Mécénat Servier has provided support to nonprofit organizations, including 1001mots and Enfants d'Asie in Vietnam, who are committed to making sure children have access to education.

According to Corinne Massin, Director of Corporate Philanthropy: 🗣 “By providing financial support to dedicated associations and enabling Servier Group teams to take part in solidarity initiatives, we want to give as many children as possible a chance to learn and thus gain access to employment and income."

👀 Today, the spotlight is on Servier India Private Limited 🇮🇳: Through the initiative of Servier India teams, patients and doctors took part in a project to improve therapeutic adherence in patients with cardiovascular disease.
The goal? Identify barriers to adherence and lifestyle advice, as well as ways to improve doctor-patient communication, thereby encouraging patients to take their treatment correctly.

🔬 Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) present a complex challenge in healthcare. Affecting bone marrow, MDS leads to the production of abnormal blood cells and can progress to Acute Myeloid Leukemia if not diagnosed early. 

🌍 Globally, MDS affects an estimated 87,000 people annually, with a higher prevalence in those over 65. This underlines the importance of targeted research and early detection strategies, especially as our population ages.

🔎 Early diagnosis is crucial, as 30% of patients with MDS go on to develop Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). In this case, their life expectancy drops to less than two years.

Our mobile cardiology clinic provided free preventive tests to over 50,500 patients across more than 120 Polish towns and cities.
