We're sizzling to share our latest mention in Protein Production Technology International's October/November 2023 edition, featuring an interview of our Founder & CEO, Jasmin Hume, PhD, alongside several of our peers revolutionizing taste and texture in the meatless industry.

Consumers commonly complain that plant-based meats' taste and texture don't match conventional meat. That's because the plant-based oils, such as coconut and palm oil, currently used in such products don't sear or brown in the same way that animal fat does.

Shiru's OleoPro ingredient is our way of reaching that "holy grail." OleoPro is a plant protein scaffold that turns liquid plant oils into a structured fat, delivering the juicy mouthfeel you'd expect out of animal fat.
