Sibanye-Stillwater, in partnership with ICAN 4IR and the Department of Education, has handed over 112 tablets for teaching, learning, and assessment to 36 Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres in Merafong, Rand West, Matjhabeng, Dipaleseng, Rustenburg, and Madibeng. In addition, 72 practitioners have been trained to deliver ECD curricula in accordance with the South African National Curriculum Framework. 
 
Forty additional under-resourced ECD centres received educational material and toys. 
 
 We firmly hold the belief that nurturing children's cognitive and holistic development prior to their formal schooling lays a foundation of enduring significance, benefiting not only their individual well-being but also contributing positively to the fabric of society at large.

Sibanye-Stillwater is proud to announce the outstanding performance by JS Skenjana Secondary School for their Matric class of 2023 with an achievement of 76,7%, a 14% improvement from the previous year.  JS Skenjana, a school constructed by Sibanye-Stillwater in the Eastern Cape as part of its Social and Labour Plan, has been awarded the best performing historically disadvantaged school in Idutywa, Eastern Cape. 

The school was officially handed over to the Department of Education in 2022 following a R65 million investment in the refurbishment of the school infrastructure courtesy of Sibanye-Stillwater in partnership with the Department of Minerals Resources and Energy.
