Felipe Pardo is our Head of #Finance. He holds a degree in industrial engineering and a Master's in operations research from Universidad de los Andes - Colombia in Bogotá. He has extensive experience in corporate strategy, corporate finance, #entrepreneurship, private equity, and operations optimization. 

Previously, Felipe was LatAm manager at Stern Value Management, leading consulting projects for companies like Petrobras, Femsa, Cemex, Pemex, and others around Latin America. He also worked at Teka Capital, a multi-sector Private Equity fund, where he led the Mergers & Acquisitions team and various value-creation business plans for the portfolio companies. He also co-founded a company in the consumer goods sector, where he executed a successful exit in 2021.

Additionally, Felipe is a mentor at Rockstart, sharing his expertise with early-stage #startups. He has also served as a board member in different companies and a recognized education NGO in Colombia.

Meet Santiago Gomez, our COO and Co-Founder at Simetrik. Santiago's journey in #business and #finance has played a crucial role in our company's success. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and specializes in Financial Administration, both from Universidad de los Andes - Colombia.

Santiago's career began in entrepreneurship at Endeavor Colombia, a well-known global organization that supports high-impact entrepreneurship. In 2016, he joined forces with Alejandro Casas Caro at Ropeo, a logistics and clothing e-commerce platform. Santiago's business skills and financial expertise were vital in Ropeo being selected by Y Combinator in 2018.

However, Santiago had a broader vision. He wanted to create a technology-based company and address the financial challenges faced by Ropeo. Alongside Alejandro, he decided to pivot and establish what we now know as Simetrik. 🚀

To start, here's a quick overview of our Co-Founder and CEO, Alejandro Casas Caro: He holds a bachelor's degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from Universidad de los Andes - Colombia and has expanded his expertise with computer science studies at RMIT University in Australia, followed by a Master's in Interactive Apps Design at IED Barcelona.

Alejandro's entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of Inclava Labs in 2011. A significant achievement was in 2013 when SportsAround, a project from Inclava Labs, was selected by the Colombian government as one of the top five startups to represent Colombia in Silicon Valley. His career further advanced when he became the CTO at Mesfix, where he met Santiago Gomez, who would become his partner and COO at Simetrik. In 2016, they launched Ropeo, a logistics and e-commerce platform. After being selected by Y Combinator in 2018, they pivoted to set up what's now Simetrik, focusing on Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to tackle financial challenges.
