The first vehicle left our factory in Mladá Boleslav in 1905 and millions of others have followed it throughout the company’s more than 125 years of existence. The company’s registered office and automobile development department have remained in the company’s home town, but production has also spread to many other places, cities and countries over time. 
Nowadays, our goal is to provide customer not only with the car but with an extraordinary customer experience from the purchase. Therefore, there exists Customer Journey department at Skoda Auto that makes sure every customer journey is seamless and unforgettable.

📱 💻 The next Digital Product Day took place at our Prague office in June. We met in person our top markets in order to discuss common digital topics, share experiences, present updates on latest developments and provide outlook on what’ is ahead of us.

Market representatives also took part in workshop where they could test a prototype of new digital product and could give us feedback. 📦

World’s first sustainable Škoda dealership opens its doors! 🌍

🌿 Green. ♻️ Sustainable. 🤝 Community friendly. We’re delighted to announce that in May this year we have opened sustainable Škoda dealership in Riga, Latvia. This flagship facility embodies the Škoda GreenRetail strategy, which aims to integrate sustainable technologies and practices across the Škoda sales network and significantly reduce the carmaker’s environmental footprint.

🇱🇻 The renovated Skandi Motors in Latvia now boasts improved insulation, photovoltaic panels, and a host of other sustainable solutions. The site also features newly planted greenery that supports local biodiversity. But this dealership offers much more than new cars and excellent customer service: Visitors and locals can also enjoy refreshments in the cosy café area or make use of the bike repair station, which is especially appreciated by passing cyclists. A big thank you to everyone at SIA SKANDI MOTORS for embracing this green initiative!

🍃 As part of the goTOzero project, Škoda Auto is committed to reducing its carbon footprint in every aspect of its operations. The successful completion of this project in Riga marks a significant step towards a more sustainable Škoda sales network. And there are more exciting developments on the horizon.

We are happy to announce the recent launch of the Škoda Middle East regional website, the first-ever Škoda regional web 🎉

The main purpose of this website is to inform the Middle Eastern customers about Škoda news and activities in the whole region and redirect them to the country-specific importer website. The customers can also newly see all the available Kushaq colors/wheels/interiors in a visualizer that has been especially designed to enhance their digital experience. 

All these activities are part of our Middle East digitalization initiative to support Škoda’s expansion in the region. Our next goal within this initiative is to enable the customers in the Middle East to use our digital ecosystem in their native language – Arabic.

Škoda Design Meetup 🎉 
In the middle of February, the inaugural meeting of the Škoda design community together with colleagues from Cariad and Volkswagen took place in Prague.

The program was focused on the future of Škoda UX together with discussions on DesignOps and case studies. The entire meetup took place in a pleasant atmosphere with interesting and inspiring insights such as colaboration with Cariad on Powerpass in-car app or design challenges in the development of upcoming infotainment systems. 🤝
