SK Telecom Co., Ltd. provides wireless telecommunication services in South Korea. The company operates through three segments: Cellular Services, Fixed-Line Telecommunications Services, and Other Businesses. The Cellular Services segment offers wireless voice and data transmission, Internet of Things solutions, platform, cloud, smart factory solutions, subscription, and metaverse platform-based services, as well as sells wireless devices. The Fixed-Line Telecommunications Services segment provides fixed-line telephone services; broadband Internet services; media platform services, such as Internet protocol TV and cable TV; and business communications services. The Other Businesses segment offers television shopping services under the T-commerce brand, as well as portal services. In addition, it provides call center management, base station maintenance, information gathering and consulting, system software development and supply, quantum information and communications, data base and internet website, and digital contents sourcing services; manufactures and sells e-book; sells contents and mastering quality sound album; sells and trades in anti-theft and surveillance devices; and operates information and communications facilities. As of December 31, 2021, the company had 3.6 million fixed-line telephone and 31.9 million wireless subscribers. SK Telecom Company Limited was incorporated in 1984 and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

The O-RAN Alliance F2F meeting was held in Korea, hosted by SKT supporting with ORIA(Open RAN Industry Alliance), TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association)

The Alliance is a global organization leading the standardization of open RAN technology, with more than 300 companies worldwide.

At O-RAN 6G Workshop, held under the theme 'The Road to 6G Standards', SKT presented the evolution of the next infrastructure and the importance of Telco Edge AI infrastructure as a core technology.

We are pleased to announce that we've been awarded the IEEE Milestone for our 1996 commercialization of CDMA achieved in collaboration with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. The IEEE Milestone is one of the most prestigious awards within IEEE, and a plaque presentation ceremony was held today at our head office, SKT-Tower.

The AI Seoul Summit 2024 was held in Seoul on the 21 and 22 May 2024. The Summit was co-hosted by the Governments of Korea and the UK, bringing together international governments, AI companies, academia, and civil society to advance discussions on AI. 

At the ministerial session held on the second day, our CEO gave a presentation on building sustainable and reliable AI.

We announced our earnings for the first quarter of 2024. We sustained our revenue growth backed by strong performance of the mobile and fixed telecommunications business and enterprise business. Going forward, we will strengthen our differentiated competitiveness to achieve tangible results in our AI business.
