Today we joined fellow VCs and technology companies in co-signing a letter addressed to the Secretary of Defense about the need to improve the adoption of innovation within the United States Department of Defense. We believe that there is an immense opportunity and an urgent need for commercial technology adoption within the Department of Defense and this letter supports a series of actionable recommendations developed by the Atlantic Council’s Commission on Defense Innovation Adoption report designed to reform acquisition and overcome barriers to integration.
 
The letter states that adopting these changes will “dramatically improve the ability of Silicon Valley to deliver the world’s best technologies to the warfighter”
 
Snowpoint’s own, Doug Philippone, is an Industry Commissioner for this Atlantic Council report.
