Together, we uncovered key strategies for success: 1. Face-to-Face Matters 🤝 Speakers highlighted that face-to-face meetings are essential for success in Saudi Arabia's flexible business culture, where building trust is key. Unlike rigid agendas, engagements are more fluid, making personal connections vital. The best time for focused business discussions is during the low season in July and August, when partners are more attentive and available. 2. Local Connection Opening the Door of Opportunity ✨ Entering the Saudi market? Don’t go it alone. Bodin has highlighted the importance of having a local guide to navigate networks and build relationships. Cold outreach might not be enough; find someone who can help you integrate and verify whether these are qualified leads. 3. Don’t be Impatient. It’s about Relationship Building 🧑🤝🧑 One common mistake foreign founders make is "talking to local people as if they are dollar signs, not humans." In Saudi Arabia, building relationships takes time. It’s relationships first, then business. Bodin even mentioned that one of his top pieces of advice for founders interested in the Saudi market is to buy a one-way ticket to Saudi Arabia to truly blend into the local culture.
