We are a multi-asset, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on identifying, developing and commercializing novel treatments for bacterial infections, including multi-drug resistant, or MDR, bacterial infections, and rare diseases. Spero’s lead product candidate, SPR720, is an oral antimicrobial agent in development for the treatment of nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) pulmonary disease, a rare orphan disease. Spero’s partnership directed programs consist of SPR206 and tebipenem HBr, which through the company’s business development efforts, have joint venture relationships supporting their ongoing development. Today, we announced the first patient, first visit for PIVOT-PO, a global pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial of our potential novel therapy for those with complicated urinary tract infections (#cUTI) & acute pyelonephritis (AP).
