The HBCU Athletic Conference has announced its inaugural Champions of Character Volleyball Clinic, presented by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and YMCA of Northwest Louisiana. The free clinic, dedicated to empowering young athletes through the core values of the NAIA’s Champions of Character program, will take place November 10 at the YMCA BHP and Lash Family YMCA locations.

The Tampa Bay Sports Commission has announced that Orlando City Soccer Club and Inter Miami CF will compete in the preseason edition of the Florida Derby on February 14, 2025, at Raymond James Stadium. The matchup between Florida’s two Major League Soccer franchises will mark the first MLS match hosted at Raymond James Stadium since 2001 and is anticipated to feature several international soccer stars, led by Lionel Messi.

Abbott World Marathon Majors has announced that the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS , which takes place on August 31, 2025, will become the seventh major race in the AWMM series. Sydney joins the Tokyo Marathon, Boston Marathon, London Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Chicago Marathon and New York City Marathon as part of the international series.

The annual Rivalry Series between the women’s teams from USA Hockey and Hockey Canada has evolved into a must-see event over its first five years with a mix of appealing to new markets, the increasing appetite and enthusiasm for women’s sports and the ability to watch one of the best rivalries in winter sports play out over multiple games. The 2024–2025 Rivalry Series starts November 6 at Tech CU Arena in Visit San Jose , then travels to the Maverik Center in Visit Salt Lake on November 8 and heads to Visit Boise on November 10 at the Idaho Central Arena.

The Savannah Bananas, a traveling baseball exhibition, have adjusted their 2025 tour schedule with its Tampa Bay stop moving to Raymond James Stadium from Tropicana Field after the venue was damaged by Hurricane Milton. “We could not be more excited for the Savannah Bananas to ‘Stay in the Bay’,” said Rob Higgins, executive director at the Tampa Bay Sports Commission . “We’re thankful to our friends at the Tampa Sports Authority for their quick collaboration and to Jesse Cole and the Savannah Bananas for being such committed partners in keeping the World Tour in our region as we continue to heal from the significant effects of this hurricane season.”
