🎓 Under Nathan Thomas's invitation, Lucy Kennedy and Ben Kelly empowered students from the remote sensing and GIS course at Edge Hill University to step into the roles of National Grid asset managers. 

📊  During this immersive in-field simulation at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, their mission was to balance various factors and optimize asset monitoring using different data collection methods such as satellites, drones, walking and piloted flights.

👩💻 👨💻 Besides that, they also delved into Spottitt's business operations, all while contemplating the diverse career paths their master's degrees might unfold - it's not always that straightforward, right...? 🙂

💸 Every year, £260B of avoidable damage and disruption happens to the UK's utility systems. This is £2,000 for every kilometre of linear infrastructure in the country, like power lines, roads, and underground pipelines.
