#DYK? 50 years ago, SRI’s role in SWIFT – the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication – began when its founding members, struggling with both concepts and national differences, needed help with functional and organizational design. SRI offered advice, facilitated discussions, and helped resolve differences to gain consensus among SWIFT’s members.

As new smart rings emerge and enthusiasm grows, researchers are evaluating these products’ effectiveness for reproductive care. SRI's Fiona Baker,  director of the Center for Health Science and Human Sleep Research Program, spoke to Scientific American on wearables and menstrual cycle tracking: “Wearables are changing the landscape for menstrual cycle tracking and what can be done with those data."
