We are delighted to share that we have closed our $32M Series B, led by Bioluminescence Ventures, with participation from KdT Ventures, Robert Long, and existing investors 8VC, Alumni Ventures, Camford Capital, Cancer Research Institute (CRI), Intuitive Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Pitango. Our funding will enable us to generate proof-of-concept, event-free survival Phase 2a data for our lead program and to advance two additional programs through Phase 1. We are delighted to share that we have dosed the first patients in our Phase 1/2a trial. This milestone represents the first ever administration of intraoperative immunotherapy in history. Ever. (Please let that sink in for a moment…or three.) We are so grateful to these patients and to all future patients for joining our mission to create a world where nobody grieves the loss of a loved one to preventable post-surgical cancer recurrence. To this end, we hope to reimagine and augment the standard of care for solid tumors: SURGEry. Today, surgery is a physical intervention only – we believe that it should and can be a therapeutic intervention as well.
