Sweethoven Biotech has been selected for the final round of the #Revier .Pitch competition. A total of five teams were chosen from a broad pool of applicants and will pitch their innovations on November 6th in Jülich in the rooms of the Startup Village. The #RheinischeRevier , known for the mining of brown coal, is undergoing rapid structural change to prepare the region for a sustainable future. In this context, the Zukunftsagentur Rheinisches Revier GmbH is organizing the Revier.Pitch competition, which offers young and future-oriented projects and start-ups from the Rhineland a stage for their innovative products and services. We had a great time at the #Nextbite24 hosted by EIT Food in Rome. As participants of last years EIT Food Seedbed Incubator we got the opportunity to present the prototype of our sweet-tasting fiber to experts from the food ecosystem. Big thanks to the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Transfer-Center enaCom, who enabled us to produce this prototype. The #nextbite24 was not only a great opportunity to showcase our healthy sweetener, but also to meet mentors and coaches from the Seedbed program such a Juan Ignacio Zaffora , Mariano Oto , Chryssa Dimaki, PhD , Olga Pelekh , Matej H. , Lorraine Allen and other participants of the incubator such as Luca Cotecchia ( Circular Fiber SRL ) and Cesar Torres, MBA ( #TheGoodPulse ). We are looking forward to the follow-up of this huge event and the pilot studies with food manufacturers, who want to test our sweet fiber in their food products.

Successfull September for Sweethoven Biotech !! We can look back at a great month in which we secured 1st place in the Bio-Gründer Wettbewerb 2024 and 3rd place in the #BioRiverBoost !2024. The events which were hosted by Kompetenzzentrum Bio-Security and BioRiver-Life Science im Rheinland e.V. were great opportunities to present our healthy and sustainable sugar alternative to an expert audience and expand our network. We are extremely grateful and proud of the judges' evaluation and feedback and, above all, the great interest shown in our sweet fiber by numerous visitors attending the pitch finals. These events show repeatedly that sugar and sweeteners are on the minds of many people and that there is great interest in better alternatives. Sweethoven Biotech meets politics - visit from the German Bundestag Yesterday, the "Sweethoven Biotech" team welcomed Ye-One Rhie , Member of the Deutscher Bundestag and Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment. Ms. Rhie showed great interest in the project of Dr. Marcel Hövels and Dr. André Neff , which is funded by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung as part of the #DATIpilot funding measure. During her visit, Ms. Rhie gained valuable insights into the objectives of our project, which focuses on the sustainable production of healthy sugar alternatives. In a very pleasant exchange, our team highlighted the innovative strength and social benefits of Sweethoven Biotech's research. The potential of #DATIpilot , as well as possible challenges and optimization approaches, were discussed together. Ms. Rhie did not miss the opportunity to try the prototype of our sweet fiber and was impressed by the pleasant sweetness and natural taste of our healthy sugar alternative. Ms. Rhie's visit was a great opportunity to bring the importance of applied research closer to a political decision-maker and at the same time to provide constructive feedback for german funding programs. A big "thank you" to Ms. Rhie for her visit and the encouraging discussion.

Meet Sweethoven Biotech at the University of Bonn's Science Festival 2024! 💡 📖 🔬 The precise and comprehensible communication of scientific findings is a discipline that is becoming increasingly important in today's world. We at Sweethoven Biotech would like to contribute in this regard by raising awareness on the effects of an unhealthy diet and excessive sugar consumption at this year's Science Festival at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn .
