It’s no surprise that the most exciting developments happening in healthcare involve AI. While AI plays a pivotal role, it will never replace the education, experience or knowledge of the individual patient that a clinician offers.

This patient suffered from non-healing wounds following a bi-lateral breast reconstruction post mastectomy, a procedure undergone to treat breast cancer.  
 
Unfortunately, this story isn’t unique. With a growing aging population and surging rates of chronic diseases, roughly 1 in 5 individuals in the Medicare population will experience a chronic wound in their lifetime.  
 
This patient’s journey included treatment supported by Swift technology. Within months of receiving care under an interprofessional team, the wound fully closed for the first time in five years.
