However, the fourth-quarter revenue of $277.6 million fell short of market expectations. Looking ahead, Synaptics anticipates revenue between $315 million and $335 million for the upcoming quarter. The company's shares have risen 26% year-to-date, reflecting positive market sentiment.

Imagine being able to make the display of a mobile phone, laptop, or wearable act as a high-fidelity speaker and haptic feedback source. Thanks to the ‘magic’ of #piezoelectric transducers – and some proven know-how in audio and touch technology from Synaptics – such a display could be available in devices soon. It’s based on a chip we have developed that incorporates a low-noise, high-voltage boost amplifier and a digital signal processor that sits on the device’s main board and drives a ceramic piezoelectric transducer attached to the back of the display.
