Annually, The Artemis Fund publishes an impact report summarizing the social and economic impact of our firm and our portfolio.

In 2023, our portfolio:
- Generated $310M in revenue for SMBs
- Created 13K jobs
- Served 410K families

In addition to our portfolio impact, we're continuing to build a strong community, and developing the next generation of diverse female talent in the VC industry.

This month, and every month, Artemis celebrates women who are making history. Artemis invests in fintech, commerce, and care, because we believe wealth is power and that these three verticals have the highest potential to unlock prosperity for all. The women of Artemis, our team and our portfolio founders, are champions of change in creating economic opportunities for the overlooked and underserved.

Did you know some of the stats Artemis and our founders are addressing? 

- 47% of adults 40-50 are part of the sandwich generation, meaning they care for a parent over 65 and provide financially for a child. The care economy is a $650B, largely untapped market. We are investing in founders like Paige and Joanna, the forces behind Naborforce and HopSkipDrive. They’re building companies that are reducing the burden of care so that women and families can reach their highest financial potential.

-50% of the US is employed by SMBs, but many don’t have access to technology and capital to grow. We are investing in founders like Madeline of Gemist and Melodie & Morgan of Max Retail. These women have built technology that provides the tools and capital for small businesses to grow and thrive.

-63 million people in the US are under or unbanked. We are investing in founders like Sofiat at Goodfynd and Kanan at Builders Patch. They have built  technology that makes our financial system more affordable, efficient, and accessible. 

While there is still much work to be done, we are excited to be part of the progress.

To date, Artemis has invested in 20+ companies, of which 100% are led by female founders and 60%+ have Black, Latinx, or immigrant leadership. Compare that to the VC industry as a whole, where less than 2% of funding goes to female founders, and less than 1% goes to Black founders.
