We’re excited to announce Sami Nahmias, Warehouse Manager, as our third CRON MVP, our recognition program at Cronos that celebrates our all-star talent.

We spoke with Sami to learn more about his role, and what he enjoys most about working at Cronos.

Tell us more about your role as a Supply Chain Warehouse Manager. 

Firstly, I want to thank you for being selected as CRON MVP of Cronos Israel. This is very exciting to me, and I was not expecting it. As the warehouse manager of Cronos Israel’s supply chain, it’s a very dynamic job for me. It includes responsibility for storage, transportation, and distribution of the company’s products as well as inventory control and distribution, deliveries, and warehouse staff management. I always work to improve and streamline the work processes while meeting the established goals and striving to reduce damage to the products. I also supervise compliance with safety procedures at Cronos.
 
What do you love most about working at Cronos?
 
The thing I like most about my job is the ability to work with and help people. I like the responsibility of my position and the ability to lead the company to success. I also love to manage the amazing warehouse staff at Cronos Israel.
 
Do you have any advice for anyone looking to join the cannabis industry?
 
When I came to work at Cronos three and a half years ago, I never thought for a moment that I would like the job so much and progress in such a way. My advice to anyone who wants to work and advance in a cannabis company is that it’s a very interesting job and there are opportunities to learn and advance within it.
 
What do you like to do outside of work?

After work hours, I always prep for the next day by getting ahead of upcoming tasks. I enjoy spending time with my family: my children, grandchildren, and my partner.
 
What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
 
Coming to Cronos was the best advice I got. I feel committed to work, and diligent and I don't give up until everything is done for the best. Before I finish a day’s work, I make sure everything is prepped for tomorrow and I ensure that my team is supported.

“By most financial metrics, Q3 2023 was one of the best quarters in Cronos history,” said Mike Gorenstein, Chairman, President and CEO, Cronos. “We achieved our highest net revenue for continuing operations on record at $24.8 million, up 22% year-over-year. The top-line was propelled by 40% growth year-over-year in Canada, driven by strength in pre-rolls, flower and edibles. This robust success in Canada was driven primarily by innovations in our Spinach® brand, and with the Lord Jones® brand now also on the market, we are excited about having a broader portfolio of unique and differentiated products to address consumer needs. Our re-launch in Germany with the Peace Naturals® medical cannabis brand is an exciting step for Cronos to move beyond its existing markets. And just last month, we signed an agreement to ship to Australia. Opening new avenues for growth with operational discipline is our primary focus. Beyond top-line growth initiatives, our teams have done a great job reducing costs across the Company and improving the gross margin profile of the business, which yielded significant improvements in cash flow.”

“The positive results this quarter were overshadowed by the horrific and despicable events that took place in Israel, our second largest operating market,” continued Mr. Gorenstein. “Our thoughts remain with all victims, their loved ones, and all Israelis as they fight to be free from terror today and in the future.
