TGTA November Course: Toyota Diagnostics On November 20, from noon-1 p.m. ET, The Group Training Academy (TGTA) will present its November course entitled “Toyota Diagnostics.” Since the 2000 model year, Toyota has been producing hybrid powertrain vehicles, and over time, there have been significant changes in the design and layout of these systems. Toyota's hybrid powertrains can be grouped into four main generations. This course will guide technicians through the evolution of power flow in each generation, highlighting the gear train and electric motor configurations, as well as their interactions. The Group to Host YANG Reception Tonight at AAPEX The Group will host this year’s Young Auto Care Network Group’s (YANG) networking reception. The Group’s Larry Pavey Honored with Art Fisher Award for Excellence in Education Larry Pavey, CEO of the Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group), was honored with the Art Fisher Award for Excellence in Education by the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA). The award was presented on Nov. 4 at the AWDA reception held in Las Vegas. This annual award, presented in memory of former AWDA Chairman Art Fisher, recognizes a company or individual for their leadership and commitment to education and training, either within their own organization or throughout the industry. Funds from the Art Fisher Scholarship program shall be presented in the name of Pavey to two undergraduate students enrolled in the automotive aftermarket management program at Northwood University.
