As a small brand in an industry plagued with greenwashing, our mission is to provide our customers with as much honest information as possible to make more conscious, more informed, decisions. We've noticed the use of the phrase "using upcycled ingredients" being the latest greenwashing trend. Now, we absolutely agree that waste should be repurposed, but there is no legislation that prevents brands from using the term even when as little as 0.01% of their ingredients are actually from upcycled sources. Upcycling isn't our "USP", but we do actually use a lot of upcycled ingredients.
