We attended Seamless Africa 2024, the continent’s leading conference for financial services, retail, and e-commerce industries. It was a privilege to connect with so many industry leaders and demo our technology to startups, leading retail banks and disruptive payment companies alike. Innovation moves fast and the new solutions being presented at Seamless Africa were more numerous than ever. With evolving industry landscapes and tightening regulatory environments, it is exciting to see how the financial services and e-commerce spaces are innovating to stay ahead of the curve and partnering with companies like ThisIsMe to ensure their compliance. It was also wonderful to connect with so many old friends and business leaders who have grown alongside us since our founding over a decade ago. Seeing the incredible growth of South Africa's financial services and RegTech industries is inspiring and makes us excited for the future. We cannot wait to be back in 2025!

Our team had an incredible experience attending the eCommerce Live conference in Johannesburg. Juan Furmie, our CEO, presented a talk on the evolving role of identity verification and we loved the engaging questions we got from our audience. Juan's talk discussed the increasingly central role that identity verification plays in South Africa's economy and how the evolution of FICA compliance has transformed our industry. With ThisIsMe's commitment to agility and decade of industry experience, we shared some lessons learned from adapting to the new opportunities and challenges posed by our dynamic industry. Our audience especially appreciated a discussion about the types of competitors in our industry. As FICA compliance has expanded and now impacts a wide range of industries, dozens of new competitors have entered our industry. We discussed the differences between the many newly-founded low-end providers, established premium providers like ThisIsMe, and the entrance of SA's large bureaux into the direct-to-consumer market. Our audience appreciated the clear insights into what has become a highly saturated and often confusing industry. Our broader experience as guests of the three-day LeaderEx conference was equally valuable. LeaderEx was attended by hundreds of industry leaders and innovators across South Africa and international markets, spanning every topic from business and political leadership to the essentiality of regulatory compliance. It was a pleasure to connect with so many new and well-known faces and speak with dozens of interesting new leaders in our related industries.
