On September 19th and 20th, the 9th VDMA #EngineeringSummit took place in Darmstadt, Germany. The event focused on highly discussed topics such as the decarbonization of the industry. The diverse program included many presentations as well as an exciting panel discussion with thyssenkrupp Polysius participation by our CSO Frank Ruoss. 🙌

📅 In August 2023, the Asia Pacific team was awarded a contract by a client with the scope of supplying one of the biggest titan® double-shaft hammer crusher to be installed in a cement plant in the region, alongside providing technical assistance during erection and commissioning process. 🙌

⛰️ The crusher, with a capacity of 2400tph, will be installed by the end of 2024 with detailed engineering to be shared between thyssenkrupp Polysius Germany and Engineering Center Hanoi (ECH) in Vietnam, the local engineering hub of the Asia Pacific region. The fabrication of certain parts will also be localized.

The new crusher will ensure an increase in efficiency and productivity due to its superior performance and durability, thus reducing downtime and maintenance costs for the cement plant. 💡

🙌  An exciting visit: As part of the North Rhine-Westphalian IN4climate.NRW initiative, representatives from business and science discussed the current challenges in carbon capture & storage (CCU/CCS) at the thyssenkrupp Polysius communications center on September 14. 

💡 After introducing the plant manufacturers thyssenkrupp Polysius and thyssenkrupp Uhde, the focus was on topics such as the requirements of separation plant technology, the approval process in the Netherlands and the allocation of plant components under approval law. 

The initiative, which was launched by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Climate Action and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia, aims to ensure a competitive and at the same time climate-neutral industrial location. It provides significant impetus for the industry – not only in NRW, but also in international projects. 🌱

⛰️ No matter how resilient the machines – when they are in operation for a long time, even the most durable crusher will require an upgrade. And that this where our thyssenkrupp Polysius service comes into play! 💪

A cement manufacturer operates an old feed plate conveyor for its mobile crushing plant, and due to signs of wear, the plant now requires a technical overhaul by us. As a replacement and to improve the plants performance, we will supply a kit for upgrading the apron feeder to the current state of art. 💡

💡 One of our customers has commissioned us with a technical overhaul of its mammut® crusher at its cement plant. The crusher has been in operation since the middle of 1900 – an impressive age! Now, we are supplying a modified rotor for the crusher as a replacement. This latest version of the mammut® basic rotor has been optimized, so that it can be manufactured cost-effectively, while also incorporating the highest level of performance and service life. 🙌
