TMT Investments PLC is a venture capital and private equity firm specializing in startups, early stage, small and mid-sized companies. It does invest in pre-growth projects. It prefers to invest in technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sectors. It seeks to invest in high-growth technology companies across a number of core specialist sectors. It seeks to invest in mobile software applications, online travel services in emerging markets, business SaaS tools, Social discovery shopping, e-payment systems, e-commerce, big data, cloud solutions, social networking, and internet-based companies. The firm is not geographically restricted in its investments. It considers investments of at least $0.15 million. For private companies, the firm typically invests at least USD$ 0.25 million. For pre-growth stage it invests between $0.25 million and $1 million and for growth stage it invests between $0.25 million and $3 million. The firm typically stays invested from two to four years. It prefers to realize its investments through the sale or merger of a company; the sale of securities of a company by means of public or private offerings; or the disposal of public equity investments through the stock exchanges on which they are listed. For private companies, the firm invests in growth and pre-growth stages in small and mid-sized companies. It prefers to invest in private companies seeking capital for growth and development, consolidation or acquisition, or as a pre-IPO financing. It prefers to invest in the form of equity and convertible loans. The firm prefers to secure at least blocking stakes and board representation in the private companies it invests in. It considers equity investments in lower than blocking stakes only where it sees ways to increase the stakes to blocking or controlling stakes at a later date. The firm also seeks to invest in publicly traded equities which have securities listed on a stock exchange or over-the-counter market and also provides convertible loans. These investments may be in combination with additional debt or equity-related financing, and with other value added financial and/or strategic investors. 👏👏 The two largest funding rounds in March on Seedrs were our portfolio company Laundryheap, the on-demand wash and dry clean firm, closing a £1.3M funding round, ahead of its £1m target, and vegan food brand THIS, which closed a £1.4 million securities offering. Congrats to both companies!

Laundryheap is now generating £20m+ in annual run rate and, in Q4 2023, achieved positive EBITDA.

"Our profits, together with this funding, will allow us to be more aggressive in our growth plans and scale the Laundryheap service even faster," a statement on Seedrs said.
 
Funding will be used to expand Laundryheap's marketing channels, further develop its sales team in new markets and progress acquisition deals.

👏 Scentbird Co-founder Mariya Nurislamova charts what makes the company an ecommerce ground breaker 10 years on ✅ 

In 2014, to try new fragrances, it was common to make a trip to a department store perfume counter. In came Scentbird. That’s when Mariya and her co-founders built the scent recommendation platform Scentbird, one of 50+ companies in TMT’s portfolio. 
 
Soon people started asking to sample the fragrances, and almost five iterations later, the idea came to be: a 30-day supply of a fragrance of your choice.
 
Today Scentbird offers 800+ fragrances to 700,000+ monthly subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. “We’re just getting started,” says Mariya, reflecting on the extraordinary growth and eyieng expansion to Europe.

The $5m Series A round was led by Jackson Square Ventures, with participation from DocuSign Founder Tom Gonser, as well as existing investors DocuSign Ventures, GoodPaper Ventures, Digital Future, and The LegalTech Fund.
 
DocuSign is the #1 way to send and sign documents, with over 1.5m clients and 1 billion+ users globally. DocuSign and OneNotary have entered into a formal partnership to integrate OneNotary into DocuSign’s range of notary solutions. The integration, when launched early this summer, will expand DocuSign Notary into third-party notaries, providing more opportunity for multi-state certified notary platform options for DocuSign customers.
