Exciting times at our Bridge of Don depot. As part of ongoing refurbishments, phase one of the workshop floor replacement is complete with incredible results. Resin Floors Telford have done a great job working with the team to keep disruptions to a minimum during this time.

Apprenticeships are at the heart of our workforce and it's great to see Caitlyn's achievements being recognised by DAF. Our first female HGV technician to complete the DAF apprenticeship. Well done Caitlyn

We recently carried out some additional training for our recovery operators on the the specialist equipment that we have on our recovery fleet. In order to complete the practical element of the training we were lucky to be supported by Overton Automotive Ltd in using their facilities and vehicles. They captured some great photos as shown in their post. We are proud of the skills and training that our recovery operators have gained over the years to provide the highest level of service when carrying out recovery operations.

Wishing George and Tommy all the best on their next challenge - taking part in the 8th Peking to Paris Motor Challenge. The adventure starts from the Great Wall of China in Beijing tomorrow morning, 18th May, we can't wait to see some photos and here how they are progressing

The sun has come out for the delivery of these two XDC 450 FAD's to Glenalmond Contracts. Supplied by Gordon Ewen with a full R&M package that will be maintained by our Dundee workshop, all extra add ons including lightbars and air horns were completed in house by our team in Perth. At Optimum Eco Group we’re continuing to invest and expand, and this week we added two brand new DAF XB 190’s to the fleet for Restructa Ltd and CCL (North) Ltd. , adding further capacity and keeping us at the forefront of our Circular Economy journey. Our drivers Thomas and Wullie picked up the new vehicles from Gordon Ewen and the team from Norscot Truck and Van Ltd in Perth, the new 12-tonne vehicles are the first of the new generation DAFs in Scotland. The new XB gives increased driver comfort and class-leading fuel economy, further reducing our carbon footprint, as we keep investing in both our people and vehicles. These new vans will also soon be sporting a striking new look – stay tuned for news!
