Ukraine Association of Biobank (UAB) was established in 2017 to promote and develop an Ukraine biobank network to benefit patients, researchers, industry, and the economy. The network commenced in 2013 with two Institutes of Medical Sciences of Ukraine biobanks and currently consists of biobanks in the main Institutes of Medical Sciences in Ukraine.

The Ukraine Association Biobank coordinates the network procedures, based on ESBB, ISBER and NCI guidelines, are standardized across the network.
