[Team Vdigm’s visit to Korea Metaverse Festival 2024] Last Friday, the Vdigm team had the opportunity to explore the latest metaverse technology at KMF 2024. The energy around everything AI, VR, and beyond, was inspiring! Here are some of the booths that stood out to our team (in no particular order): - Playpark: Right when we walked in, their bright avatar and facial tracking by phone caught our attention because of it’s smooth and simple system. - CALIVERSE Inc : we were especially drawn to the 3D avatars representing digital twins of the members of K-pop group NMIXX, showing off complex dance steps and facial expressions, giving a natural and semi-realistic concert vibe. - Gangneung Science & Industry Promotion Agency: at this booth, our team experienced real-time movement tracking in an XR studio environment, seeing avatars mirror our team members’ actions. - X:UM Platform: We’ve tried out a few of their equipment and sensors, including their VR glasses, hand tracking gloves and tracking jacket, that serve multiple XR content creation needs.
