Congratulations to our 2024 Verdane Award winners Danelec, Hive Streaming, Voyado and Wunderflats - we're so proud of your respective teams' accomplishments! An amazing update to come from the day was the fact that Wunderflats has helped find housing for 27 000 Ukrainian refugees, with 70% of that having been provided for free. Truly impressive!

Permanent, engineered carbon removal

Njord Carbon, our joint venture initiative with Södra that by 2030 will remove and permanently store 5 million tonnes of CO2 annually, using trees as CO2 sponges and empty reservoirs for permanent carbon storage – thereby creating truly affordable, scalable and world-class quality carbon removal credits available to all

Investments in decarbonisation

Over 3.5 million tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided through the 11 businesses we have invested in via our fund Idun I

Portfolio updates, including:
- Jupiter Bach’s carbon reduction strategy to boost its wind industry leadership further
- NORNORM’s reduction of furniture waste in workplaces by increasing product lifetimes from an average of 7 to 20-30 years
- Spond, the platform to help fund and organise group activities, enhancing its cybersecurity by 80% in the space of a year
- Urban Sports Club’s contributions to optimising employee health, fitness and well-being across Europe
