Today heralds a major and exciting new chapter in the history of AMSL Aero as we welcome globally experienced commercial executive, military veteran and board director Max York as our new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Max will lead the company in partnership with our co-founders Andrew Moore and Siobhan Lyndon as we prepare to bring our world leading zero-emissions aircraft Vertiia to local and international markets.

Today, at the City of Canterbury Bankstown Evolve 2023 event our Co-Founder Siobhan Lyndon joined Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor - Bilal El-Hayek, NSW Productivity Commissioner - Peter Achterstraat AM FAICDlife, Keynote speaker & Helicopter Pilot, Kate Munari, CEO Aeria Management Group - Daniel Jarosch, CEO Aware Real Estate - Michelle McNally, GM Toll NSW Ambulance - Diane Tremain and COO Quickstep - Demi Stefanova. The event was hosted by James Valentine and highlighted the incredible support for reducing aviation carbon emissions with the development of emerging aviation technologies including our home grown hydrogen powered Vertiia aircraft.

We are thankful for the funding announced today by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) to support the development of Vertiia - our hydrogen-powered aircraft.  Vertiia will be emissions free and used as a light air ambulance and provide passenger and cargo transport that better meets the needs of Australians living in regional and remote areas.  We look forward to sharing more about Vertiia as it takes to the skies!

It was encouraging to hear from the leading medical and aviation specialists across Australia on the SXSW Sydney panel held last Friday discussing the future of DECARBONISING FLIGHT: THE HOW, WHEN AND WHERE OF GREEN AVIATION AND EVTOLS.   
Within the next decade there will be positive benefits to saving more lives due to the introduction of the Australian designed and owned aircraft Vertiia by AMSL Aero  -Vertiia will provide a long range, emissions-free, runway independent, light air ambulance, at a fraction of the cost compared to current helicopters and fixed wing aircraft in use and at the highest levels of safety set by our regulators.  This is a game changer for our aeromedical operators and our community, here and abroad.  It will mean that lives will be saved whilst also keeping our air clean in providing new paitent tranpsort for our reginal and rural communities.

It was inspiring to hear from the Chair of AMSL Aero, Chris Smallhorn who presented at the Asia Pacific Cities & Mayors' Forum yesterday, on creating sustainable and livable cities - addressing Climate, Connectivity and Congestion in a Cost effective way.  He spoke about how Vertiia can support these aims - locally in Australia and globally.

Australia has an incredible history of innovation in aviation, and we are looking forward to the Royal Aeronautical Society Australian Division's industry symposium being held in Canberra this week. 

Founder & CEO of AMSL Aero, Andrew Moore, will be reflecting on some of these great Australian icon aviation success stories in his presentation at the symposium.  He will also share some highlights on behalf of the team at AMSL Aero who are developing the next generation of great Australian aircraft.
