There are innovative, exciting companies that are poised for growth in emerging markets.  However, these companies lack access to the capital required to fuel their growth.  VestedWorld is a venture capital fund focused on investing in those companies.

The three primary countries that we invest in are Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. We also consider opportunities in four secondary countries: Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. We focus on three sectors that we view as essential to the growth of any developing country: Agribusinesses, Consumer Products, and Technology-enabled businesses.

We believe that we can have a profound impact on the development of the economies where we invest and the people that our portfolio companies employ. We also deliver competitive, risk-adjusted returns to our investors.

We are excited to make it "Medium article official"!! Keziah Njeri and Phylis Njongoro both joined VestedWorld earlier this year. Keziah joined us as a Vice President following years in financial advisory and supporting the Nairobi startup ecosystem in various roles. Phylis joined us as an Analyst having started her career in actuarial consulting before moving into impact investing before her MBA at Strathmore.

Congratulations are in order! This is a major accomplishment for our portfolio companies, Yemaachi Biotech, CEO Yaw Bediako, Ph.D. and for the broader SAMBAI team that will work to advance research on cancer inequities with a Cancer Grand Challenges aware of up to $25 million. Led by Dr. Melissa Davis at Morehouse, Yemaachi and team SAMBAI will "define the factors that cause and influence disparate cancer outcomes in diverse underserved populations, with a focus on breast, prostate and pancreatic cancer in people of African descent".
