LVS takehomes! #ICYMI this 'Balancing the Unseen' panel, including VET.CT's Liz Barton and Victoria Johnson, had some fantastic takehomes and tips for juggling life and work: 💡Set boundaries - both individually and as a workplace 💡 Have the discipline to stick to those boundaries - simple things like having a place to put your phone down so you can be present with your family, or agreeing team members not on shift should silence their work notifications. 💡Be kind to yourself! Extend the same understanding and compassion to yourself that you do to others. At work, psychological safety is vital for kindness to flourish. 💡Ask for help - whether that's support from friends and family, or having a coach or counsellor, we all need a helping hand at times. Employers should provide tools and individuals then access them. Introducing our case of the week...a St. Bernard with a bulge in the mouth! A 1.5 yo ME Saint Bernard was in for castration and the owner had noticed a mass on his left maxilla area about his Carnassials. According to the owner the mass came up quickly 2-3 weeks ago. 40 ml was withdrawn when aspirated. This left a 'hole' above the molars 2-3 cm deep and circular.
