The company was formerly known as Victoria Resource Corporation and changed its name to Victoria Gold Corp. in July 2008. Victoria Gold Corp. was incorporated in 1981 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

Victoria Gold (VGCX) is Leading Yukon’s New Gold Rush. The company’s 100% owned Eagle Gold Mine in central Yukon poured its first gold in Q3/19 and achieved commercial production on July 1, 2020.  Eagle is an open-pit, heap leach operation located approximately 375 kilometers north of the capital city of Whitehorse. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, VGCX successfully ramped up the largest gold mine in Yukon history into production. VGCX is currently looking at options to increase production to 250,000 ounces per year in 2023.  Exploration continues on the greater Dublin Gulch property focused on nearby Nugget/Raven and Lynx targets.

Victoria Gold Presents "Kings of the North - The Search for the Last of the Ice Bears" - a documentary film by Yukon photographer and environmentalist, Peter Mather. The movie premieres in Whitehorse on April 6, and in Haines Junction on April 14.
