The welcome ceremony was attended by senior representatives from the French Consulate General. The new aircraft has been delivered on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-France Strategic Partnership and to celebrate the success of the Francophonie Summit in Paris, which gathered representatives from nearly 100 member countries. More especially, it’s right after Vietnam General Secretary and President To Lam and French President Emmanuel Macron agreed to elevate the Vietnam - France relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The new aircraft numbered VN-A539 is the 106th to join Vietjet’s vibrant fleet and the 80th one delivered by the leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus. 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗷𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗻-𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 On September 10, Vietjet’s leaders called on the airline’s staff to donate to supporting people in areas affected by Yagi typhoon and subsequent floods in the northern provinces. Up to 8,000 Vietjet employees have united to contribute and share the difficulties with families who have suffered losses and damages due to the natural disasters. #Vietjet will also donate VND 5,000 (approx. US$ 0.2) from each ticket sold from now until the end of September 30 to help people’s lives return to normal post-disaster. In addition to the contributions from staff, it is estimated that the total amount Vietjet will allocate from ticket sales will be around VND 5 billion (approx. US$ 202,900). On September 10, Vietjet has allocated VND 2 billion (approx. US$ 81,140) in advance to purchase food, clean water, medicine, and essential supplies to promptly assist people in overcoming difficulties and recovering from damages. In addition to fundraising activities, Vietjet has decided to carry relief goods free of charge from organizations and individuals domestically and internationally, to the typhoon-affected regions from now until September 20. CEO Dinh Viet Phuong said: “The staff of Vietjet sends sincere encouragement to those suffering from the aftermath of the typhoon and floods. We believe that with solidarity and community support, people will overcome difficulties and quickly stabilize their lives.” Every Vietjet employee wishes to contribute a small part to help families who suffer damages and lost their beloved after the devastating disasters, deeply reflecting the spirit of mutual support and Vietnamese traditional value of "the good leaves protect tattered ones ", while at the same time demonstrating Vietjet's social responsibility.
