From the beginning of next year, the Australian Securities and Investment Commission will begin to enforce climate disclosures under new mandatory accounting standards. You can read the exposure draft of the standards here: https://lnkd.in/gp_5TB82 

The new disclosures will cover a large range of emissions including 15 categories of scope 3 emissions from activities such as employees commuting to work and business travel. 

While the requirements will initially apply to companies with typically more than 500 employees and more than $1 billion in assets, smaller companies with generally more than 100 employees and $25 million in assets will also have to comply by 2027-2028.
