Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is considered the most effective treatment. Draft guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence propose offering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) alongside or instead of Hormone Replacement Therapy.

While proponents argue that offering CBT enhances choices for women, concerns about limited HRT access and potential negative health impacts have been raised. It's crucial to strike a balance between providing options and safeguarding access to proven treatments for the well-being of women.
