🎉 Celebrating 10 Million Rides in Frankfurt

We are delighted to share that our rider community in Frankfurt has achieved an incredible milestone – completing the ten millionth ride via the Voi app in February 2024!

🛴 Stronghold in Frankfurt: With approximately one-third of all Frankfurters having embraced Voi scooters, Frankfurt has solidified its position as a key market for Voi.

🚶‍♂️ Integration with Public Transport: 70% of Frankfurters combine e-scooter trips with public transportation, enhancing connectivity and offering a convenient first and last-mile solution.

📈 Impact During Strikes: During the recent rail strike on February 2, Voi's ride volume surged, demonstrating the crucial role of e-scooters in supplementing transportation options during disruptions.

While we cannot answer for an entire industry, we asked a couple of our employees to share how we at Voi make sure things are moving in the right direction when it comes to sustainability.

‘From day one, we’ve worked hard to reduce our impact on the environment. Our primary efforts have centred on adopting renewable energy sources. Today, a growing number of our suppliers rely on renewables, and 80% of our warehouses run on clean energy. Our secondary focus is on fostering a circular economy. We operate vehicles that are built to last, prioritise repairs and second-life utilisation, while actively promoting recycling and waste reduction. Through these combined initiatives, we’ve successfully achieved an impressive 85% reduction in our carbon footprint per ride.’

‘Voi has significantly augmented the integration of recycled raw materials into the components of our e-scooters, with our latest model boasting approximately 30% recycled raw material content. Earlier this week I was invited to CoCentric to share about our hands-on learnings from innovating and shaping the micro-mobility industry using #ai at Voi Technology. Full house and a great event with many interesting, relevant discussions.
My key points:
* Talk less and do more. Not all use cases have security, privacy or ethical impact, so start there.
* Get your data AI ready. Separating your AI strategy from your data strategy is not a good idea. Garbage in = garbage out.
* Increase adoption and understanding by removing silos. Tech and business people should be working together in the same teams.

E-scooter sharing regulations – yay or nay?

At Voi, we say YAY, without hesitation.

Why is it that? We had three of our employees answer the question: Why does Voi advocate for regulated markets?
