Our friends from BIOWORLD MERCHANDISING and Volleman's Family Farm stopped by to help us set up our annual costume shop in Dallas. This week the patients and siblings at Children's Health will be able to shop for their favorite Halloween costume—free of charge! It takes a village to execute events like this, and we are thankful for the hard work this group put in to ensure our patients have a special Halloween! Ever wonder what we feed our beautiful cows? 🐄 It's a common misconception that our cows only eat grass and hay, as there's much more to their diet! At Volleman’s Family Farm, we prioritize providing our cows with top-quality nutrition. Our on-site nutritionist designs a balanced diet that includes grass, corn silage, sorghum silage, alfalfa hay, and grains. This carefully tailored diet ensures our cows receive the nutrients they need at every stage of life, promoting their overall health and productivity. 🌾

At Volleman’s Family Farm, we are committed to continuously find innovative ways to enhance our sustainability efforts. One of the latest advancements on our farm is the installation of a biodigester. Our biodigester enables us to convert cow manure into renewable energy by breaking down the organic material within the manure. This process generates renewable natural gas, contributing to a more sustainable energy solution. Environmental stewardship remains at the heart of everything we do! ♻️

Over the weekend, we had the honor of teaming up with the 2023 PBR Team Champions, the Ariat Texas Rattlers for their annual Pancake Breakfast. This event was truly remarkable, with all donations directly benefiting the FFA Chapters of Arlington and Arlington Heights high schools. We’re so grateful to have been part of this meaningful initiative, and it’s truly inspiring to support the next generation of leaders in agriculture. 🌾

Hello! We’ve never formally introduced ourselves. 👋🏻 We’re the Volleman family, committed to bringing the highest-quality milk straight to your table. Our farm is located on the outskirts of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. It all started with our founders, Frank and Annette Volleman, who began their dairy farming journey in Luxembourg, a small country in Europe. In 1993, drawn by the opportunities Texas had to offer, they packed their bags and made the move. Today, Volleman’s is operated by Frank and Annette’s four sons and their families. 🌾 Benjamin oversees the fields and crops, ensuring our cows receive the maximum nutrition they need. 🐄 David manages the dairy farm, making sure our beautiful ladies are healthy and well-cared for, because happy cows = high-quality milk! His wife, Anna, handles office operations and helps grow both the dairy and the creamery. 🥛 Andrew runs the creamery, where our milk is made, bottled, and distributed. His wife, Shelby, manages all things marketing. 🐮 Daniel focuses on caring for our younger cows while also assisting in other aspects of the family business.

It is always a joy to partner with great organizations like Children's Health . Together, we were able to create a new bottle designed by one of their very own patients. Starting this week, you can now find this bottle on shelves across Texas! Remember, a portion of proceeds from each bottle go back to The Children's Health Foundation, so grab a bottle when you find one!
