In Germany, the transition to renewable energy resources is well under way. By 2030, the share of renewable energies is to account for 80% of the total amount; the target for 2045 is climate neutrality. 

We strongly support these targets and are making great efforts to comply with them: by 2030, we aim to halve our greenhouse gas emissions and reduce our energy consumption by 15%. And what’s just as important: our products already play an important role in the energy transition.

Sustainably manufactured containers comprising 30% recycled materials have been in use at WACKER SILICONES’ Burghausen site since the beginning of the year. 

By switching to transport tanks made from recycled plastic, the division will save over 250 tons of CO2 per year. 

Such intermediate bulk containers (IBC) are also used by WACKER POLYMERS.
