Our portfolio Kazam gets $8M #funding 

That’s a fantastic news but the grind & hustle behind it is the real story.

Kazam is a full stack EV energy management startup… and covers full range of EV charging infrastructure, energy distribution, monetisation and upscaling. Despite their continuous growth and acquiring big clients, their Series A round of $4M was going slow, thanks to funding winter & global slowdown.

But they kept on going … must have done 300+ meetings and deep engagement with investors while in parallel keeping the business momentum going… for good 10 months. Lot of rejection and mixed response. And finally in last few months the hardwork paid and they start closing on-going discussion at speed. So much so that they end up raising double the target … and finally closing $8M. 

And it doesn’t stopped there, we are flooded with more investment offers. We were lucky that we have invested in them from first round till this last round. And we would continue backing them in future too. 

It’s just the start for their bright big impact venture … superbly led by Akshay Shekhar Vaibhav Tyagi & Paras Shah 👍

According to Axios, India has captured the highest share (37%) of overall exit value across global markets outside North America and Europe in the past 18 months—surpassing even China, which accounted for 29%.

Here’s a snapshot of India’s incredible exit performance:
- Public Market Exits: $12.9 billion in 2023, $8.1 billion in H1 2024
- Secondaries: $6.6 billion in 2023, $2.2 billion in H1 2024
- Strategic M&A: $5.8 billion in 2023, $1.1 billion in H1 2024
