Last week, the Welltec® team in Brazil marked 10 years since the introduction of the Welltec Annular Barrier (WAB®) to the region, celebrating the occasion through a dedicated Technology Day. The 2014 deployment of two 1214 WABs in a Pre-Salt completion has proven to be the beginning of a transformation for the industry—streamlining well completions, reducing construction time and costs, significantly lowering CO2 emissions. A significant milestone on our journey in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as Welltec CEO, Mr. Peter Hansen , signs an MoU with H.E. Mr. Salem Alhuraish, in the presence of H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman, during the Energy Localization Forum hosted by the Ministry of Energy . Today, we had the honor of hosting a diplomatic delegation at Welltec® HQ in Allerød, Denmark, welcoming the First Secretary of the Algerian Embassy in Denmark, Anisse Deboub, along with representatives from key Algerian ministries. During the visit, our distinguished guests were given a full tour of in-house design, engineering, and CNC manufacturing facilities. The delegation was keen to learn more about our industry-leading technologies, and how these can be leveraged to benefit and support long-term energy plans in Algeria. As a result of this productive exchange, we look forward to strengthening relationships and collaboration between Welltec and Algerian partners.
