Today our CEO Al Gianchetti was interviewed by Ali Gorman of BiotechTV and they discussed the exciting progress XyloCor is making with the clinical development of XC001 for patients with refractory angina. In addition, they discussed XyloCor's recent agreement with SmartCella which enables XyloCor to use their Extroducer catheter (use the title from the press release) to deliver XC001 to the heart without the need for a surgical procedure.

#NEWS: Today, we announced an agreement with Smartwise , a unit of SmartCella Holding AB (“SmartCella”). We have entered into a licensing agreement under which XyloCor has rights to the Extroducer® Infusion Catheter System ®, a first-in-class endovascular device designed to deliver advanced therapies directly into the heart [and hard-to-reach tissues]. XyloCor plans to deploy the Extroducer to support catheter-based endocardial delivery of its lead gene therapy candidate, XC001 (encoberminogene rezmadenovec), in future clinical studies and commercial use.

#NEWS: Today, we announced positive Phase 2 data for our refractory angina treatment candidate, a novel therapeutic approach that aims to fill a significant unmet medical need for people who have exhausted available treatment options and have a debilitating quality-of-life.
