Our Field Application Engineer (FAE) captured this video on our partner's data center project, showing everything coming together perfectly - except for that ventilation duct in the corner.

Upon spotting this discrepancy, they alerted the project team who promptly adjusted the plans. This proactive approach to install verification prevented the snowball effect that unresolved discrepancies can cause construction sites, allowing the team to fix the issue and maintain forward momentum.

Inaccuracies in mission critical construction can derail projects if left unchecked. The margin for error is razor-thin, making many issues nearly impossible to detect with the naked eye.

By deploying engineering grade augmented reality™ on this data center project, our Field Application Engineer identified a 25mm positioning error. Though seemingly minor, this discrepancy could have led to significant delays if left unchecked. Thanks to our FAE's sharp observation, the issue was promptly reported to the General Contractor, enabling early resolution before it became a larger problem.

Finding all of the discrepancies on data center projects is one of the hardest and most time consuming tasks in construction.

It costs additional time, labor and money; three things that are always in short supply in mission critical construction. By partnering with XYZ Reality, our client's 96MW data center project was able to save $1.55 million on remediation costs in just 39 weeks of the 104 week project. Across the entire duration of construction, this equates to $4.14 million!

Inspecting the leak wells on one of our partners' hyperscale data center projects, our Field Application Engineer (FAE) was called in due to some confusion with the subcontractor regarding positioning. Sure enough, we discovered that the leak well at the rear was incorrectly positioned, clashing with the fire protection pipes in the model.

The issue arose because the latest model for the pipes wasn't uploaded by the general contractor, and the subcontractor was using an outdated drawing for positioning the leak well. Fortunately, by using engineering grade Augmented Reality™ in the field, we were able to work from the most up-to-date models and relay all the necessary information back to the GC, preventing any knock-on effects down the line.

This scenario highlights the power of capturing errors at the earliest stage before they propagate and become more time-intensive and costly to fix. It also showcases the importance of collaborative work with the GC and the subcontractors.
