The company sells its products under YaraBela, YaraLiva, YaraMila, YaraRega, YaraTera, YaraVera, and YaraVita brands name. "Renewable ammonia is an important part of the decarbonization puzzle, however developing it at scale takes time. As the world is rapidly approaching 2030, we are also working to produce low-carbon ammonia with CCS to enable the hydrogen economy and develop the emerging markets for low-emission ammonia," says Hans-Olav Raen, CEO of Yara Clean Ammonia. 
 
Last week, we celebrated the inauguration of our 24 MW renewable hydrogen plant at Herøya Industrial Park in Porsgrunn. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, who was with us at the project's launch two years ago, returned to witness its realization. 🌿 

Once fully operational, this plant will produce around 20,000 tonnes of renewable ammonia annually, cutting 41,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions from the site. As the largest facility of its kind in Europe, it plays a crucial role in enhancing production whilst cutting emissions. 🌍🎯

We recognize that scaling up production won’t be easy. The green transition will require investments, predictable framework conditions, massive build-out of renewable energy and grid, continuously advancing technology, and a maturing market where demand and supply are developed simultaneously. 💚

🎉 Yara’s renewable hydrogen plant is a major milestone in decarbonizing the food value chain, shipping fuel and other energy intensive industries.
 
🎯 To reach our climate goals we need to act urgently on multiple fronts and the companies who take the green transition seriously will have a competitive advantage. However, the right framework conditions need to be in place, together with investments, funding and a market where supply and demand develop in parallel.
 
🤝 Collaboration across entire value chains is an essential piece of the puzzle and the realization of Yara’s renewable hydrogen plant is a powerful example of this.
