Yinson Group IT recently volunteered at a local village school, Sekolah Kebangsaan Rangalau Lama, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
 
During the volunteering activity, the team painted the school’s walls and donated English fiction and non-fiction books to the students, fostering good reading habits in their early years of schooling. The fresh coat of paint by Yinsonites contributed to a more conducive learning environment and the students were excited to receive the donated books. 
 
Yinson is committed to promoting quality education and effective learning, aligning with SDG 4, Quality Education. The school volunteering by the Group IT is yet another addition to the educational-focused CSR initiatives.

Yinson Group Chief Strategy Officer, Jia Jun Chai recently shared on Yinson’s transition journey at the IIF-Maybank Transition Finance Workshop. During his speaking session, JJ highlighted the current energy transition landscape and how Yinson is playing its part in it.

The inaugural IIF-Maybank Transition Finance Workshop was hosted with the aim to develop and implement transition plans as well as views on policy and regulatory aspects to achieve a low-carbon economy, deep diving into the fundamentals of transition finance alongside the challenges and opportunities that come with it.

Yinson Group HR and Admin teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Ghana, and the Netherlands recently volunteered with MareCet, a Malaysian marine mammal research and conservation NGO. 

The team supported MareCet on a field survey in Pantai Langgun, Langkawi. During this nine-hour-long survey, a wonderful pod of Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins was sighted. Subsequently, a coastal beach clean-up was conducted, resulting in the collection of 263.05 kg of marine debris.
