➡️ Last week, the fifth edition of the Germany-Korea Hydrogen Conference took place in #HalleSaale . 🗣️ The Conference brought an important exchange and valuable insights into the current and future requirements of the hydrogen economy. During the two-day conference around 150 participants from #Germany and #SouthKorea discussed topics such as optimization options for #hydrogenproduction , transport and use, safety aspects as well as political and legal framework conditions. South Korea is one of the most important scientific partners for the #FraunhoferIMWS , particularly in the field of renewable energy research 🌞💨💧. An initial cooperation agreement was concluded back in 2013, on which numerous joint projects with institutions such as the Korea Institute of Energy Technology(KENTECH) , Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), Korean Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning(KETEP) , Yeungnam University and Hanyang University were based. Since 2021, the cooperation has been running in the H2DeKo project, and since 2022 the Fraunhofer IMWS has been leading the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform - FIP-H2ENERGY@KENTECH on the German side. The Fraunhofer IMWS is now even greener! A solar system ☀️🔌 has been put into operation on the roof of our main building in Walter-Hülse-Straße. 225 photovoltaic modules now generate electricity with a total rated output of 96.75 kWp, most of which is used for our own research work. We would like to thank the companies responsible for the installation and are delighted that the Institute's energy supply is now even more sustainable. #greenEnergy #solarPower #theFutureIsGreen

➡️ Today we had prominent guests at the Fraunhofer CSP. His Excellency Harish Parvathaneni, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Germany, and State Secretary Jürgen Ude, State Chancellery of Saxony-Anhalt, visited our institute. We had the opportunity to present our research topics. The focus was on photovoltaic recycling ♻️ and polymers for photovoltaics. We were also able to present our activities during a tour of our laboratories. We would like to thank or guests for the visit and the pleasant and constructive exchange, which was a great starting point for fostering future collaborations.
