This time we are introducing one of our Logistics colleagues to you, our lovely Anja! 
Anja was responsible for one of our core projects on our way to become a more sustainable company. Therefore we asked her to give us some insights about the project and the collaboration with sendmepack. 

Here is what she said: ⬇ 

Why did you decide to take on this project - what changes does this entail?

We are optimising ourselves in all areas to become more sustainable as a company and since we are receiving a lot of boxes in return we thought that there should be a way to reuse them to safe some resources. 
That's why we got in touch with #sendmepack.
The idea and the kind contact with the company SendMePack inspired us to start this pilot project. 
The cooperation allows us to use our shipping cartons not only 1, but possibly 2 or maybe even 3 times, if the condition of the carton allows it. We saw this as a great chance to significantly reduce the daily amount of waste and to use our resources even better. 

What challenges did you face on the way to achieving your goal?

On the one hand, we had to find out in the test run whether our cardboard packaging could withstand this multiple load when it was resent. 
And secondly, the reaction of our customers ultimately determined whether our pilot project would become a standard process or be discontinued.
Both results were overwhelmingly positive, so we implemented the process and have since saved over 55 tons of waste. 🍃 
Our ongoing challenge is to continue to increase the remanufacturing rate of shipping cartons.

What was your biggest learning for you from this project?

Changes always initially bring headwinds, and you have to take justified objections seriously! But you should keep pushing and give it a try if it's a project that's worth it.

Diesen Monat stellen wir Euch eine unserer langjährigsten #Mitarbeiterinnen vor.
Berivan ist seit mehr als 10 Jahren Teil von #OUTFITTERY und hat schon viel bei uns erlebt. Wir haben sie gebeten, uns drei kurze Fragen zu ihrer Zeit bei uns zu beantworten.

1️⃣ Du bist jetzt seit über 10 Jahren bei OUTFITTERY. Was war dein persönliches Highlight?

Ich kann mich da gar nicht auf ein #Highlight festlegen. Bei 10 Jahren Zugehörigkeit zum Unternehmen, da kommt einiges zusammen. Einige meiner persönlichen Highlights waren sicherlich der Zusammenschluss mit #Modomoto und der Umzug von unserem damals recht kleinen Office in unser aktuelles Office. Da wurde mir bewusst, wie groß OUTFITTERY geworden ist. 😎 
Das, was aber sicherlich den meisten Eindruck hinterlassen hat, war unser 2 tägiges #Festival zum 10. Geburtstag von OUTFITTERY. Es war eine wahnsinnig gute Stimmung, die positive Energie und gute Laune ist bis heute etwas, woran ich mich gerne erinnere. 🥂

2️⃣ Was macht dir an deinem Job am meisten Spaß?

Mir war es nach meiner #Ausbildung zur #Modedesignerin immer wichtig, einen kreativen #Job auszuüben. Bei meinem Job macht es mir nicht nur Spaß, meine Kunden einzukleiden, sondern sie auch nach jedem gelungenen Outfit glücklich und selbstbewusst zu sehen! Vor allem die Spiegel-Selfies von glücklichen Kunden - Goldwert! 🤩

3️⃣ Wie würdest du die Zusammenarbeit in deinem #Team beschreiben?

Aktuell bin ich frisch in eine etwas kreativere Abteilung gewechselt und zwar in unser #Marketing Department und freue mich schon darauf, neben dem #Styling der Influencer, mit denen wir kooperieren, ein paar unserer Social Media Plattformen wie TikTok und Pinterest als neues Projekt anzugehen.
Ich bin jemand, dem es wichtig ist, dass in einem Team nicht nur Zahlen und Ziele zählen, sondern dass der Mensch einen Wert hat und an erster Stelle steht. Das habe ich bei OUTFITTERY gefunden. Ich habe bisher fast nur gute Erfahrungen in dieser Hinsicht gemacht. Soweit ich mich erinnere, war es immer ein sehr harmonischer Umgang untereinander. Sicherlich ist die gute Teamchemie auch der Grund, warum ich so lange bei OUTFITTERY bin. Ein gutes Team und ein guter Vorgesetzter sind für mich entscheidend, um sich langfristig wohl zu fühlen. 🥰

Today, we would like to introduce Sheila Käsgen. She is our Senior Social Media & Influencer Manager and started in March 2022. 🤩

We invited Sheila to our 3 quick questions round and here is the result. 👇

1️⃣. Why did you join #OUTFITTERY ?

I was looking for a dynamic work environment with growing opportunities. By OUTFITTERY recently launching womenswear, I saw a big potential in Social Media & Influencer #Marketing and got excited. Personally, I don’t like #shopping at all and therefore jumped at the idea of having a personal stylist quickly. The choice of #brands, materials, sizes, prices and the time spent investing on research & comparison had made me develop a real dislike towards fashion. I thought, why not let a professional take over? When you take away the stressful aspects, fashion is so enjoyable - it’s an exciting tool to explore yourself!

The fact that OUTFITTERY had inspired me personally how to rethink shopping and fashion, made me want to join the mission. And talking about the passion of exploring: the possibilities of working remote and abroad were a big additional plus for me.

2️⃣. How has your role and responsibilities changed over your time @ OUTFITTERY?

It escalated quickly. ;) Starting as Social Media & Influencer Manager a year ago, we soon saw good results in promoting our womenswear launch with Influencers. An exciting journey had begun: setting up processes, trial and error, success moments, challenges, growth, more people joining. I'm happy I dived into the deep end and am proud to lead a team of four now. I learned to be more proactive and putting things together myself to make it work. ‘Being brave’ and ‘having each other‘s back’ (our company values) inspired me to do so. OUTFITTERY is a great place for me to grow and I’m excited for more to come!

3️⃣. What would you tell external people about OUTFITTERY?

At OUTFITTERY, I feel like we really strive to live our #values. That makes me feel confident, both as an employee and a customer. Knowing our amazing stylists, I know I can fully #trust in their #styling #skills. Just as I am trusted with my abilities and contribution to the company. Whether it’s wanting to develop your professional growth or to unlock your joy in fashion – it’s about trying new things and focusing on your strengths. Which is exactly what OUTFITTERY stands for. 💪
