Announcement from the Saudi Halal Center: New Portal and Updated pricing structure. The Saudi Halal Center has announced that all services have been transitioned to the new Saudi Halal Center portal, featuring an updated pricing structure. This platform will also serve as a gateway to strengthen collaboration, with the goal of enhancing compliance with applicable Halal standards. Effective October 1st, 2024, all "Halal Shipment Certificates" for products entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must be issued through the new portal to ensure acceptance at ports of entry. Two types of Halal certificates are mandatory: 1. Halal Facility Certificate – This certificate must be obtained by all Halal manufacturers or slaughterhouses. 2. Halal Shipment Certificate – Once the Halal Facility Certificate is issued, this certificate will be required for each consignment or shipment of Halal products. As an incentive for Halal-certified clients and to ensure a smooth transition, Halal Facility Certificates issued through the new platform before October 1, 2024, will be free of charge for one year. All HALAL certified facilities are advised to submit their data accurately on the new platform in accordance with the specified requirements to avoid any delays in the issuance of both the "Halal Facility Certificate" and the "Halal Shipment Certificate."
