AVISTA Green is one of only a few re-refineries in Europe and supports the waste hierarchy and the philosophy of a circular economy, with lubricants being returned to the site in a continuous cycle for reprocessing. 

The innovative technology used by AVISTA Green is far more environmentally friendly and efficient than conventional processes.

The colleagues of #TeamAVISTA got plenty of fresh air and good exercise, together with their families and friends, when we held our #FIGHTCANCER support event a couple of days ago. We walked, jogged, and biked the 11 kilometers around the nearby Skarresø Lake. Some of us even completed the loop several times. For each kilometer, AVISTA donated an amount to FIGHTCANCER. All in all, together with the colleagues' contributions, it resulted in a substantial donation to the Danish Cancer Society's work in the fight against cancer. We are all affected by cancer at some point in our lives. Therefore, we want to support research and projects aimed at easing the course of disease for cancer patients and at achieving a higher rate of recovery. Now, the final sprint is on for TeamAVISTA in the last weeks before the big FIGHTCANCER TV show, with the sale of AVISTA caps and FIGHTCANCER pins, the donation of bottle deposit refunds, and other initiatives – all with the sole purpose of reaching as big a donation as possible. #FIGHTCANCER #TeamAVISTA

The AVISTA Family Day last week was a great success. Many colleagues gathered their families and went to visit AVISTA – and to see the very place where mum or dad or one’s partner spends the day when going to work. Great interest was shown in the re-refining process, and many questions were asked during the tours of the plant. Some even made it all the way to the top of the re-refinery to enjoy the view of the harbour and the city. Meanwhile the children occupied the big bouncy castle with enourmous energy, and the adults inspected the freshly polished collection trucks that were lined up for the occasion. When hunger struck, it was satisfied with the most delicious cakes that good colleagues had brought to the local baking contest, or with a sausage or sandwich from the hot-dog cart, where the delicacies were quickly passed over the counter. On top of that, the day was enriched with the most lovely sunny weather, which completed the experience. Strong partnerships are key to driving the green transition. ♻️🌿 We are excited to share that our Danish distributor of lubricating oils, Motorverk , has entered into an agreement with the construction company Holbøll A/S for the supply of recycled hydraulic oil from us to their machinery fleet. This circular collaboration is a fantastic example of green transition – and easy to copy. Holbøll provides used lubricating oil to AVISTA, and we re-refine it into new premium lubricating oil, ready to be delivered back to Holbøll and used again. A constant use-reuse-cycle is created. ♻️ By using recycled lubricating oil, Holbøll will significantly reduce CO2 emissions and avoid extracting new crude oil from the ground in the future.
