NCC is selling the Våghuset and Brick Studios office projects to Alecta Fastigheter for 2.2 billion SEK. The properties lie next to each other on Masthuggskajen in central Gothenburg. Read more here: https://brnw.ch/21wOD6Y The transaction will take the form of a company divestment, based on an underlying property value of just over SEK 2.2 billion. The buyer is Alecta Fastigheter. Handover and payment of the purchase consideration are scheduled for December 12, 2024, and will generate a positive impact on earnings in the NCC Property Development business area in the fourth quarter of 2024. “We are now selling two of the three projects that we have developed in one of Gothenburg’s prime locations and Alecta Fastigheter will become the owner of two of the city’s new profile buildings. It’s positive that we are seeing more activity in the property market compared with recent years,” says Petra Krüger, Head of Division Sweden, NCC Property Development. Both of the buildings were completed in 2023 and are almost fully let. Våghuset comprises a lettable area of 10,900 square meters with tenants including audit firm PwC and Mannheimer Swartling Advokatbyrå. Brick Studios comprises a lettable area of 16,100 square meters and the tenants include Smarteye and More Alliance. There are services, restaurants and a gym on the bottom floor of the properties. Efter två års intensivt arbete har NCC, på uppdrag av Umeå kommun , framgångsrikt avslutat saneringen av Norrbyskär. Till våren och sommaren 2025 kommer den populära turistön vara öppen att besöka igen utan restriktioner. Mellan 1895-1952 bedrev Mo Ångsåg ett av Europas största sågverk och producerade upp till 95 000 kubikmeter virke per år. Men naturen och miljön fick betala ett högt pris för sågverksepokens framfart. Sågverkets verksamhet förorenade Norrbyskär med dioxiner, tungmetaller och PAH. Saneringsprojektet, som pågått mellan 2022 till 2024, har innefattat omfattande insatser för att avlägsna förorenade massor och stabilisera marken.

NCC satsar på att utveckla hållbar och pålitlig vattenkraft med flera pågående projekt runt om i Sverige. NCC och Uniper Sverige inleder nu ett samarbete för att modernisera och uppgradera vattenkraftsstationen Bålforsen vid Umeälven utanför Lycksele. Genom att installera en ny turbin förbättras vattenflödet, vilket ökar kapaciteten och effektiviteten i elproduktionen. Detta samarbete är ett viktigt steg för att möta Sveriges växande energibehov och minska beroendet av fossila bränslen.

This week, we welcomed 15 new participants to the NCC Mega Project Management Program. This is the sixth round of the program for experienced project managers. It spans over a year, with the purpose to build knowledge and competence, increase profitability in mega projects and build networks. I disse dag har vi bygget drøye 1 km av totalt 5,2 km med tunnel i to løp på den nye firefelts innfartsveien E136 fra Moa til Ålesund, og det er høy aktivitet ved prosjektet med produksjon seks dager i uken. Daglig drives tunnelen videre med rundt 16-20 meter gjennom fjellet. Nylig støpte vi også brodekket på den største broen som bygges. Før overlevering i 2027 skal vi også bygge ytterligere to broer, fire tunnelportaler, gang- og sykkeltunnel på Lerstad, støpe tre tekniske bygg, et sedimenteringsbasseng i tunnel og innredninger i ganger mellom de to tunnelløpene. Byggingen av ny innfartsvei til Ålesund på strekningen Breivika – Lerstad i Møre og Romsdal startet i vår og gjøres på oppdrag for #Statensvegvesen . Den nye vegen mellom Breivika og Lerstad skal fremme miljøvennlig transport ved å frigjøre vegkapasitet til buss. Nær-utslippsfri asfalt i Oslo for første gang! «Her dufter det lett av tre fra asfalten som legges», skriver Aftenposten som fulgte NCC da vi la et lite stykke industrihistorie på Torshov i Oslo forrige uke. NCC har byttet ut oljeproduktet bitumen med et plantebasert bindemiddel laget av treolje – en treolje som er et restprodukt fra trevareindustrien. Det fossilfrie bindemiddelet bidrar til store reduksjoner i CO2-utslipp fra asfaltproduksjonen. Vi har nå lagt asfalt med biogent bindemiddel i to gater i Kristiansand og Oslo. - Kvaliteten på asfalten må opprettholdes, skal dette være bærekraftig. Akkurat nå gleder vi oss til vinteren, og det sier man ikke ofte i asfaltbransjen. Holder de to utslippsfrie veiene seg fine gjennom en vinter med brøyting og salting, har vi i praksis fått dataene vi trenger for å gå videre år, sier leder for NCC sin asfaltvirksomhet i Norge, André Waage.
